Modifications

Modifications are changes to what a student is expected to learn or do in school. Unlike accommodations (which help students meet the same expectations), modifications adjust the expectations themselves. For example, a student might have fewer math problems to solve or read a simpler book than their classmates. In short, modifications change the learning goals or tasks to better fit a student’s abilities and needs.
