Academic Standards
Academic Standards are clear, agreed-upon goals for what students should know and be able to do at each grade level. They cover subjects like math, science, and reading, and help make sure all students are learning the same important skills, no matter where they go to school. For example, a standard might say, "By the end of 5th grade, students should be able to multiply and divide fractions." In short, they’re the building blocks for a solid education.
