Zone of Proximal Development
The Zone of Proximal Development is like the "learning sweet spot." It’s the range of tasks that a student can’t do on their own yet but can do with a little help from a teacher, peer, or guide. Think of it as the space where learning grows best—not too easy (boring) and not too hard (frustrating). For example, a child might not be able to tie their shoes alone but can learn with some guidance. In short, ZPD is about finding the right level of challenge to help students grow.
