Summative Assessment

A summative assessment is like the "final score" of learning. It’s a way to measure what students have learned after a unit, course, or program is complete. Think of it as a big test, project, or presentation that shows how much students have mastered the material. Unlike formative assessments (which are like practice runs), summative assessments are used to evaluate learning at the end of the journey. In short, it’s about grading or summarizing what students have achieved.
