Scaffolding
Scaffolding is like giving learners temporary support to help them reach higher levels of understanding or skill. Just like scaffolding on a building helps workers reach higher places, educational scaffolding provides tools, guidance, or hints to help students learn something new. Once they’ve got it, the support is gradually removed. For example, a teacher might break a big project into smaller steps or give examples before asking students to work independently. In short, it’s about helping learners climb higher until they can do it on their own.
