Extrinsic Motivation

Extrinsic Motivation is when you do something to earn a reward or avoid a punishment, rather than because you enjoy it. For example, studying hard to get a good grade or working overtime to earn a bonus. In short, it’s about being driven by outside factors, not just your own interest or passion.
