Active Learning

Active learning is a way of teaching and learning where students don’t just sit and listen—they do things to engage with the material. Instead of passively absorbing information, they might discuss, solve problems, debate, create projects, or work in groups. It’s like learning by doing rather than just by hearing. For example, instead of only listening to a lecture about science, students might conduct an experiment or build a model. In simple terms, active learning gets students involved, thinking critically, and applying what they’re learning in meaningful ways.
